In the United States!

Hi everyone! Tomorrow morning I'm going on holiday to the United States. We'll fly to Los Angeles and hire a car there. Then we're going drive to San Diego, Phoenix, Grand Canyon, Kayenta, Bryce, Las Vegas, Death Valley crying, Mammoth Lakes, San Fransisco, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica (Los Angeles). It will take 3,5 week, so I'll back on August 26.
Then I'll update this site with a new layout! It's already finished, but I didn't have any time to upload it sad A hint: the layout will feature my favorite musical ;)

If you can read Dutch, you can follow my journey on http://ilse.reismee.nl tongue

Enjoy the summer!

KylieX2008 Tour

I was at Kylie Minogue's show yesterday in Rotterdam and it was absolutely amazing! Lots of glitters and glamour and... gay men! laughing

A little impression of the evening (stolen from YouTube):

I love this part. She landed on the stage on a giant silver skull laughing

And of course an all time favorite "In Your Eyes".

I guess she enjoyed the show as well, because she sung TWO extra songs! "Lucky" and a slow one to calm everyone down because everyone was going crazy! tongue

Wicked Survey

Stolen from It's All Greentongue

Had you seen any of the other Wicked productions prior to seeing the one on Westend?
When I saw Wicked for the first time, I hadn't seen it somewhere else before. When I went for the second time, I saw some bootlegs on the internet first -hehe-

Have you read Maguire’s novel, Wicked - The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West?
I have it on my shelf, but I haven't had the time to start reading it...

What is your favourite song?
No Good Deed, For Good, What Is This Feeling, As Long As You're Mine and ofcourse Defying Gravity. Actually, I love all the songs! laughing

What is your favourite scene?
When Elphaba enters the stage for the first time :) And the Defying Gravity scene of course. I always have to cry there laughing

Who is your favourite character?
Elphaba! Period! No discussion possible.

What is your favourite costume?
Elphaba's second act dress.

What was the biggest show/ prop / costume mishaps you’ve seen?
One time, Dianne and Kerry were constantly laughing at each other during some songs. Even at times were you aren't supposed to laugh... But it was not really a mistake of course. I don't think people in the back could see it either.

What are your favourite character’s top 3 priorities in life?
Take care of family and friends (and animals!)
See the different side of people
Stand up for yourself

Everyone in the show is wicked at some point or another. Who do you think is the wickedest and why?
The Wizard. He is just mean sometimes

If you had to be stranded on a desert island with one of the characters from Wicked, who would it be and why?
Fiyero (with the looks of Oliver Tompsett please haha)

What is the fastest costume change?
When Boq is in the chair and changes into the Tin man

Personally, are you more a Glinda or an Elphaba?
Elphaba.

What’s your favourite prop from the show?
The green bottle that has light in it .

Given the choice, would you travel by bubble or by broom?
Broom *cackle*

Spam Protected

The last few days the comment system got flooded by spam messages, so I had to find some sort of spam protection. At Cherry Fizz I found a great (Dutch!! yay) tutorial for CuteNews; from now on, you have to enter a special word when you're commenting on my blogs! Hopefully this will keep my blog safe for now wink

The past few days I received new cards from Postcrossing. Postcrossing is a project that allows anyone to exchange postcards (paper ones, not electronic) from random places in the world. It's completely safe and really fun! I love it when there arrived another card in my mailbox. I always scan my received cards and upload them on Flickr. You can see them there.

Take care!
